Les travaux de peinture ont été réalisés en aout 1999.

Lors du passage du pape Jean-Paul II sur l'île de La Réunion le 2 mai 1989, un Concorde d'Air France (F-BTSC) est affrété pour le transporter entre Saint-Denis de la Réunion et Lusaka en Zambie.
Accident de Gonesse
Le 25 juillet 2000, le F-BTSC du vol 4590 Air France, charter à destination de New York, avec des passagers de nationalité allemande, décolle de l'aéroport Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle puis s'écrase deux minutes après le décollage sur un hôtel à la Patte d'Oie de Gonesse, provoquant la mort de 113 personnes : cent passagers, neuf membres d'équipage et quatre personnes au sol
