Sepia real photographic postcard showing a view of the launching of the lifeboat at Tenby in Pembrokeshire.

Published by H. Mortimer Allen, Tenby, not numbered.

Postally used on 24 November 1915 with Bath postmark and addressed to Mr J.M. Anderson of the S.S. Fleetwing at Barrack 7, Ruhleben, Spandau, bei Berlin. The card was returned to the sender, M.W. Martin, in Bath with the stamped notification that "Picture Postcards are returned by the Censor". Able Seaman Joseph Anderson lived at 4 Berwick Street in South Shields and was captured by the Germans when the SS Fleetwing was seized at Harburg near Hamburg on 4 August 1914 at the outbreak of the First World War and held in Ruhleben Internment Camp.

Good condition, with slight corner bumps, but large crease to bottom left.

My scans are high quality and include both sides of the entire postcard, including the corners. My descriptions are as accurate as my ability allows. All of the postcards are genuine vintage cards, unless the description clearly states otherwise.
