An incredibly rare cover inspite of its fragile condition (Native paper of poor quality) sent via Hong Kong (?), Singapore, Alexandria, Malta, Marseilles, Isle of Weight and New York.

Cover was sent from Hong Kong to Singapore. It was sent on from Singapore on the Orient to Suez, then overland to ALexandria. From ther on the P&O Himalaya (Maiden voyage) Alexandria (4.2.54), Malta (7.2.54)to Marsailles and overland to England and from Isle of Weigh to New York.on “NASHVILLE” (One of two voyages only under charter to NY * HAVRE STEAM NAVIGATION CO. Ship left Isle of Weigh on 15.2.54 and arrived in NY on 5.3.54 and received NY cancel dated 6.3.54.
