1841 (12 APR) entire letter from Newcastle to Stamford Hill, London bearing 1840 1d black, plate 9, lettered "C F", with four margins (damage at top right corner) and tied by black MX postmark, on the flap fine "NEWCASTLE-ON-TYNE" cds plus various markings in red. An interesting cover addressed to Thomas Richardson, a shareholder in the Stockton & Darlington Railway and a founder of the town of Middlesbrough, letter contents include details for building the Agricultural School at Ayton.
