1881-1905 LONDON OCTAGONAL POSTMARKS COLLECTION. A beautiful collection of E/L's, postal Stationery cards, covers & commercial covers bearing various LONDON octagonal types and squared off types, expertly written up by Cohen to an almost exhibition standard. Includes a synopsis of the scarcity of each cancellation type recorded & proceeds with an 1881 with 2½d to USA tied by type IIA geometric, 1881-82 2x E/L's with 2½d frankings to France tied by type IIA geometrics, 1881 E/L to Constantinople 2½d tied by type IIA geometric, a range of 1d stationery cars largely to European countries mostly bearing type IIA, IIB, IIC & type III geometrics, 1891 registered envelope showing manuscript "Posted out of course" bearing type IV geometric, a selection of PS cards bearing type V geometrics, a trio of covers posted locally bearing 1d lilacs tied by type IB geometrics, last type VII cancels are "Lombard St." with 1905 as an arrival cancel from Greece, and much more.
