1871/1995, collection of definitives mounted in hingeless pouches on self-created Lighthose pages. Classics up to Kiku mostly used, 1919/90s mostly MNH. Booklets and panes included, from 1954 booklets appear complete. Interspread some covers. Mon dragons pl. I all wove paper with 500 mon yellow green canc. "ken" two sides narrow to cut, 200 mon early printing canc. part "Saikyo"-KSZ cert. Eichhorn BPP (1999), 500 mon bluegreen mint pl. I wove opinion Newiger BPP (1996) otherwise 48 mon used circular fancy, 100 mon I due stroke opinion Eichhorn BPP (1999). Sen-dragons mint (6S. pl. II) inc. opinion Newiger BPP (1996) for the 5 Sen. Cherry blossoms native papier inc. 10 S. and 20 S. mint, 30 S. used (opinion Newiger BPP, 1997), cherry blossoms 6 S. native paper syll. 1 top margin copy pencil sign Mayer BPP, birds used cpl. (12s syll. 3) ea. opinions Eichhorn BPP (1996/99), 1 S. brown crossed branches full srike Kiban Yokohama signed Zweiling, the used cherry blossoms are signed BPP thruout (inc. Zweiling, Mayer, Eichhorn pencil etc.). Old Koban w. 6 S. (signed Krüger BPP), 12 S. and 30 S. used. Fuji-deer old plate revised colour first mount LH, 1948/49 vocational 100y MM 500y MNH, 1951/52 MNH. A labour of love, close examination recommended (Michel cat. ca. 23.000).

Christoph Gärtner made his hobby into his profession. He started in 1984 and within two decades the Gärtner GmbH developed into a world leading mail order house for postal stationery and became a specialist for thematics and postal history.
In april 2005 the idea to build a place where collectors, customers and investors from all over the world could meet, was realized.
Since that time both, the Mail Order House and Auction House Gärtner, have been united on 2.700 m2 in the easy accessible building owned by Christoph Gärtner.
Generous viewing and storage rooms, a private auction hall, enough parking space and an underground car park are available.
