Can't really help but long verandah reminds me of a TB (tuberculosis) hospital but search of Google TB hospital images reveals nothing similar but lots of scary pics! My generation not only learned to live with the bomb but TB and polio as well!

thanks for trying to help. It is amazing how many hospitals there were in that period of time. I have looked at so many without success. it is such a distinctive frontage .
